Canadian Heritage Networks

Canadian Heritage Networks are an initiative of Canada 2017 Networks, to reflect on the past, evaluate the present and prepare for the future as follows:

Reflecting on the Past:

Each network will reflect on their history or the history of their predecessors by examining changes that have taken place between jubilee years 1867, 1917, 1967, 2017.  Then reflect on these changes and how their heritage affects the present and the future.

Evaluate the Present:

Based on the reflection of the past, networks will evaluate current trends and how they may affect the future.

Prepare for the Future:

After reflecting and evaluating networks will dialogue on how to pass on their heritage to future generations, with Canada's 200th jubilee in 2067 in mind.

FACTSnet is looking for a minimum of 150 heritage networks by the end of 2017.  Below are links to a brief description of the networks we have so far.
