Canada 150 Networked Projects

All FACTSnet Canada 150 Networked projects will have 3 or more people and/or organisations working together. We are looking for families, teachers, students, and seniors who want to work together with others on a specific networked project.  The general time line for projects is as follows:
  • 2014 Pilot projects and proposals for 2015 (Priority project areas listed below).
    • Oh Canada  Network
    • Aboriginal Heritage
    • New Comers to Canada Heritage (Could do this by ethnic groups like Japanese)
    • Francophone Heritage
    • History of services to persons with disabilities.
    • History of Career and Technology Studies
  • 2015 Proposals and sponsors for 150 networks (index to all projects)
  • 2016 Pilots for 150 networked projects
  • 2017 Completion of 150 networked projects.
This year (2014)  we are focusing on piloting dialogues with people to digitize and index heritage resources. We are developing technology so that anyone can enter their heritage resources in digital format and the entry will be part of a searchable digital archive network index.   For example, we are testing an inexpensive, slide, negative and photo scanner, which has reasonable quality output.  Anyone interested in heritage, technology and/or index development is welcome to join us.
